Picasa is software viewer and converter applications, digital image management, including social media features. This application is made by Lifescape, inc. In 2002 and was acquired by Google in 2004. This application runs on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Linux, and Mac OS X (Intel version). For Windows 98 and Windows ME, available only the old version.

Picasa name is a combination of the name of a Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, Spanish phrase Mi Casa - which means "My house", and a pic of the English word "Pictures" which means the image or images
