Causes And Prevention Of Allergies

Definition
Allergies occur when the body's immune system overreacts to a foreign object or substance such as pollen, bee venom or fur. The immune system produces proteins called IgE antibodies. These antibodies protect the body from objects or unwanted substances that can make you sick or cause infection.


Allergies can cause symptoms that are visible on the skin, sinuses, respiratory, or digestive system. Severity of an allergy varies in each person and can occur from usual irritation to anaphylaxis - a state of emergency, life-threatening. If the allergy is not curable, some types of treatment can help relieve allergy symptoms.
